Too Much Color

I met a lady at work today who had a bag that was crocheted out of recycled plastic bags. Although I didn't get a picture of hers, I found something similar to show off

Last, we were kinda slow today, so I spent the downtime making a fun stretchy belt

Sorry, but a new pic popped up of my collection II that was professionally taken at the fashion show... it showed just how awesomely see-through the chiffon was, and how the pants are COMPLETELY sequined.

Back to work at the fabric store today since there are no real jobs to be found. The sweet part is meeting inspiring people. Today I met Rachael, who was working on a city planning project for school. I asked if I could take a pic of her awesome crochet belt that she said was thrifted.

Holey Shit

I am really digging this chic asian goth trend thats resurfacing. 'Cause lets face it, goth is nothing new, and it never really goes away... it just comes and goes like waves through the masses. Coupled with the fact that the photo above includes a loose holey knit, my newest favorite obssession (I had my textile girl Jamie make me a loose patterned knit vest for that second collection, details to follow), this look makes my day.

Genesis

First post will be simple. I just graduated from Philadelphia University and the end of the year fashion show was last week. These pictures are just begging to be shared.



This is my first collection, inspired by earthy fantasy illustrations by Marilee Heyer. The jacket second from right is made from a fabric that was designed by textile major Jamie Leibering and myself. Other fabrications include silk chiffon, dup silk, and silk charmeuse

Next was collection II, loosely inspired by the sea and jellyfish
